Steam Technology Vaporization

Steam Technology Vaporization

STO — Steam Technology Optimization is a cleaner, faster, and more controlled smoking solution designed to replace traditional smoke generators, atomizers, and drenching systems.

By using steam to atomize the natural smoke flavor, STO delivers uniform color, flavor, and surface coverage across the entire chamber — without the need for wood-based smoke generators or compressed-air systems.

The result is a faster process, better product consistency, improved yield, and significantly lower energy and maintenance requirements.

Key Benefits

3–8% Extra Yield
Typical yield improvements of 3–8%, depending on the smoking method currently used.

1–10 Minutes Per Cycle
Smoking time is typically reduced to 1–3 minutes for wieners, frankfurters, and hot dogs, and 3–6 minutes for bacon and ham products.

Up to 90% Less Electricity
Electricity consumption can be reduced by up to 90% compared with wood-based smoke generators.

How Steam Atomization Works

Atomization means transforming a liquid into a fine mist of tiny droplets. The finer and more consistent the droplets, the more evenly the smoke flavor is applied to the product surface.

Traditional atomizers rely on compressed air or high nozzle pressure. STO uses steam instead. The steam shears the smoke flavor into an extremely fine, consistent mist and carries it to the chamber as a super re-generated smoke cloud.

This creates faster smoking, more even coverage, better color and flavor consistency, and improved yield.

Flexible Production Control

Dual Chamber Control
Operate one or two chambers independently from the same control panel.

Smoke & Cook in One Step
Combine smoking and cooking in a single process step to simplify production flow and reduce handling.

Uniform Product Finish
Achieve more even browning, deeper smoked flavor, and cleaner batch-to-batch consistency.

Faster Commercial Evaluation
Use trials and calculation tools to build a clear business case before final approval.

Prove It on Your Line Before You Commit

STO requires only steam, air, and electricity to operate. It runs a clean process with no direct smoke emissions and is designed to replace wood-based smoke generators, air-pressure atomizers, and drenching operations.

STO can operate as a stand-alone smoking solution or alongside a reduced amount of conventional smoke generation when needed for labeling purposes.

Lead Time: Approx. 6–8 weeks for single and dual systems
Installation: Approx. 1.0–1.5 days for single and dual systems
Trial Period: Up to 30 days of test operation before final approval.
